This collection of papers is from the archives of Michel Mathieu Lecointe-Puyraveau, shareholder, regent, and leader of the opposition to Du Pont de Nemours' policy concerning the two banks. The bulk of the material is dated from 1801-1806 and includes correspondence between Du Pont de Nemours and Lecointe-Puyraveau as well as numerous notes, and memoranda. Included are plans for operation, prospectuses, acts, decrees, notices, circulars, reports, manuals, and meeting minutes.
